Took the little man to be weighed today. The sun was shining (for once - damn your english weather), so i got out the pram and strolled up to the other side of the village to the childrens centre. (Stroll it was indeed.. at one point i had to push up a 'hill' and i was buggered!)
At birth he was 6lb6.
He then went upto 6lb10 when the midwife first came out (apparently its rare as they lose abit first)
He was 6lb10 again the second time they came out.. so she said she'd pop back in a few days.
When she popped back he was 7lb, so we was discharged :) and told to wait 2 weeks inbetween weigh ins in future.. unless, being a first time mum, i wanted extra re-assurance that he was infact..growing! Not that you need the scales to tell haha, my aching arm and his chubby cheeks give that one away.. i dont know what i will do when hes 2 and damanding to be carried because his legs are tired. Im such a weakling. Time to hit the weights?
So that was 2 weeks ago and today he was... drumroll please.. 8lb5oz!! :D
YAYYY!! The little chunk might start fitting into outfits soon as i think there two at the moment that do. Nevermind, i do love a baby in a sleepsuit.

haha twins.. one baby, one food baby ;) x
DeleteMy son was born at 4 pounds, and quickly dropped to 3 (he spent months in the NICU), and I remember seeing friends have full term babies, and just being shocked at how big 6 pounds looked, or 8 lol! :) I still can't figure babies out by their size. My little boy screwed up how big I think ages are. Newborns look like 4 month olds to me, and 10 month olds, oh goodness, I always think they are 2 or 3 haha.
ReplyDeleteAw he was the same as me then, crazy isnt it. At birth the midwife said ooh he's tiny i reckon he's under 5 pound but nope, decieving little baba :)
