Strawberry picking

Strawberry picking has become a little yearly tradition for me and Craig..at times we've been abit immature and its ended in a sly food fight but generally its just a really nice day when the suns out. This year was even better because Rio is at an age where he can enjoy it too. And enjoy it he did..he certainly tried before he buyed anyhow!! Sneaky child ;)

 

 

Another proud mummy moment!

To encourage Rio to learn more words i dug out the alphabet books. Not only can he now say apple, octopus etc he can sit and point to 90% of the book when asked. I have to admit we've been driven a little coocoo reading and rereading them..and at times moaned 'nooo Rio not again' but watching him suprise us at hard ones like 'quoits' makes it more than worth it!

What he wears..

I have an addiction with buying Rio tops, it doesnt help that at 14 months he's still in the little sizes (mainly 6-9 ) ..everything looks cuter smaller! When something catches my eye i just find myself buying it..and thats what happened today. I think you'll let me off though when you see how amazing this one is.

Play mate & chicken pox

Ive never never seen Rio move, or let me get him ready so fast as when i say, "do you want to go see Jacob?".  Hes at that age where he'll happily play independently but he blooms around other toddlers.

Its strange to think these were only took yesterday as today he is covered in spots. Thats right, my little mister has chicken pox.

Two under two

Shortly after Rio was born people started talking about the next one..you know, as they do! Back then i was sure that if we were going to have another id want a small gap..the idea of them close in age and interests was something i could really see..two under two. Back then it seemed such a long time to get ready but here i am with only about a month or so left til that idea is impossible. Truth is im just enjoying being Rios mummy and for now that is enough :) so no i wont be taking advantage of Craig and turning into a sexpest anytime soon  ;)

Peak district with a pushchair day #3

And last and by no means least..the day my dream came true.

Dispite the weather taking a turn for the worst. At 1pm on my birthday i was booked in for a 1h30 hack through the peak district!! No amount of rain could of ruined this for me. Seeing the peaks is one thing but seeing it from the middle on horseback? Wow!

Okay okay so today isnt really pushchair friendly..or Craig & Rio friendly..but today was my birthday so neer. Ohh and we finally got to hunt through the little village shops..turns out they werent all that exciting after all.

Peak district with a pushchair day #2

We'd originally planned to have a little shop around the village. But of course all the shops are closed, its bank holiday monday you idiots! The sun was still out so i twisted Craigs arm to make the most of it at Chatsworth hall and gardens..the history tourist in me couldnt resist..like ive said before..old before my time. The house was stunning and the garden more so.

Id bought a tripod before we went away for this very purpose..family photos in stunning locations. Rio of course was tired out from all the football, and napped the next two hours.

Peak district with a pushchair day #1

A week ago today it was my birthday. That means i've been engaged a year. To celebrate, the birthday part, Craig booked us a little family staycation in the peak district. Ive always wanted to go walking and horse riding through the peaks but i wasnt sure it was possible with a pushchair..well it is! We stayed in the gorgeous village of Ashbourne and picked up the pushchair friendly Tissington trail from a glass tearoom their.

Unfortunately Rio took ill with a little sicky spell and couldnt keep much down (though he was his happy cheeky self albeit abit more sleepy) so we only did a mile or so. The sun was out so we had a little sandwich stop :) and i basically fell in love with Craig all over again. Not that i ever fell out of love with him of course..hes much too perfect. *Hands you all a sick bucket*
