Gosh ive giggled so much since becoming a mum.. im not sure if ive wrote about this before somewhere..i may have i may not..baby brain, and pure idolness in the sense that i cant be bothered to look back over old posts.. short amount of time to blog while the little mans asleep and all that jazz.
So.. things ive giggled at today.
Him peeing while i changed his bum.
Yes.. i actually LOL'd. My sister panicked and put a clean nappy over his tiddle.. to which i laughed even more at.
My belly shaking at me giggling.
This set me off even more if that was possible.. i need to tone it.. starting the exercises shortly i think.
Craig squirting milk down my back because i didnt hear him tell me to double check test it on my wrist.
..Urmm.. yeah we're pretty immature parents.
I think people forget to laugh.. they stress out about it all too much.. are they doing it right? what if i cant stop them crying? etc.. the health visitor said that me and Craig seem really laid back and relaxed and it seems to be wearing off on 'our content baby'...who knows eh :) enjoy it is what i say!!

Little flashback from the hospital.. when they told me id ripped abit i said "can you just leave it? dont stitch it back up?" WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K!! They did though thank heavens.
Post pregnancy weight loss
I must be the only, or one of the few people that doesnt want to lose ALL of my pregnancy weight. Before i got pregnant i was a little on the thin side, ive never been able to gain weight.. you might read it and think oooooh your so lucky but when your ribs are poking out abit, how not hot is that in a bikini?
So far i have lost over a stone..naturally. I havent done anything. But i need to tone, and lose abit off my thighs for me to be happy, and able to shop for new clothes again. Im not rushing though.. i think people make that mistake.. you gain this weight over nine months.. everywhere i read says it should give just as long to lose it. Im trying to limit the crap i eat though.. and do a few stomach toning exercises. I guess the rest will come from running around after a baby. I may start jogging again, probs not though and horse riding if i get the time but other than that, im not going to push it.
More important things to think about and all that.. ooooh and the stretchmarks?? its also true when they say they wont matter once your little ones here.. it was his home :) and if i think that everytime i get down about them.. i'll be fine. I even joke with craig about my jelly belly.. when i laughed that first day after having him (had giggles ever since my waters went lmao) it shook and sounded like a water bottle.
Saying that, im already down to a size 8 with a flat but not yet toned stomach so i cant grumble anyway.
If anyone else is trying to lose the weight, my advice is to do it over time. Enjoy your baby, their only little once.

Craigs back at work tomorrow, how fast has that gone? Think we're both going to miss him to be honest. Dont tell him i said that though ;)
The pictures are really decieving, everyone comes round expecting him to be big but he's absolutly tiny still. Little dot :) ..TMI but the stitches have come undone abit.. youch!! Hopefully they will knit back together on there own..it wasnt exactly pretty before so i dread to think what it will be like if it doesnt.
He's a week old..
Thursday, 19 April 2012
Cant believe its been over a week already since i met the little man for the first time. Time really flies, wont be long before he's crawling around. N'awwww. His cord fell off the morning he was a week old too. Which i was glad about! No where tells you it smells does it?.. pwoar!! offensive and gunky, gave him a little bath and it came away the next morning.
He's so strong. Half rolls over when your changing his bum, pushes with his legs off things and lifts his head up during tummy time.
Nappies dont cater for little skinny minnie baby legs either do they!! His wee wee tends to come up the back on a night and we have to change all his clothes.. its a chore but cant be helped. We've worked out a little nappy trick now that works nine times out of ten. And changed him from huggies in the night to pampers. Fingers crossed, as much as i love seeing baby clothes on the washing line, this many is silly.
More pictures? Im obsessed with taking them. He's stunning, mummy blindness? No way!!
Ignore the blerghness, i'd just had a baby.. or thats my excuse lol

6lb6oz of perfection
Thought id write my birthstory while its still fresh in my mind. Little Rio Stoddart was born on the 10th at 7.19am weighing 6lb6oz. He's perfect, i know everyone says it but he is.. simples :)
WARNING LONGGGGGGGG!!
Rightyo.. where to start. My waters went on easter sunday (8th) at 2.30pm. Felt a little pop, but only had little trickles so was unsure, told craig we'd better go for carvery now just incase (haha thinking of food).. so i put on a pad and we went.. had trickles every so often & kept giggling that i couldnt stop. Then the flooding started.. literally!! I had two hugeee pads on, and a bath towel between my legs and it was still going everywhere. Rang and went to the labour ward and they said "oooh when a women walks in with a bath towel in between her legs you know her waters have without a doubt gone".. so i got hooked up to the machine to check everything was fine and sent home as i wasnt feeling contractions.
Went back the next morning (9th) to be checked again. Everything was fine, again contractions on the monitor but wasnt really feeling them.. just abit of period pains. So was told to come back in the morning at 6am for induction as that would then be 48 hours of waters going. The period pains carried on all day.. timed them here and there but they wasnt too painful so expected induction. That evening the back pain started.. oh my god!! Back to back labour is painful. I was having nothing in my stomach that i 'could feel' but my back was hell. Went to the hospital and because my waters had gone they couldnt internally examine me because the risk of infection..got a bath and was having contractions every 2 mintutes, but the pains still wasnt in my stomach so they told me i wasnt in active labour & to come back when it was in my tummy and i couldnt talk through it. (i was so upset then how could i be in that much pain and not in active labour??.. how would i cope?)
Got home and got a bath.. couldnt cope in the bath any more and really had to angry breathe the pains away. My neighbours apparently could hear me at this point (didnt know i was pregnant but worked out i was in labour.. oopsie hahaa). Craig got me a hot water bottle and we got in bed to try and sleep. The pains and angry breathing continued and i had to tell myself 'resist it' just to stop myself from tensing and screaming ouch ouch ouch. Then....
I rolled over and the pains hit with the URGE TO PUSH. Yesssss i needed to push at home.. i couldnt stop it, everytime a back pain come, my body involuntary pushed!! SCARYYYY. Rang labour and delivery they asked if i wanted to stay at home or come in.. WTF?? i bet they just thought i was a drama queen.. well.. i wasnt having my baby at home so i rushed to the car, and jumped out at the hospital. I didnt even bother getting my hospital bag out the car.. this baby was coming!!
Got on the bed and she started talking about induction as i wasnt getting belly pain, again i think they thought i was being a drama queen about my back..but she agreed to do a internal examination though to see where i was and said.. "oooh no wonder your in pain, your a good 7cm".. to which my body got another pain and stared pushing.. and i couldnt stop.. no matter how hard i tried or how much she told me to try not to.. my body was just doing it. She looked down there and yess indeed.. i was having the baby (craig said by the time i was actually told it was okay to push, and tried to myself his head was almost out) .. from the point i was told okay long pushes, keep it coming to him being in my arms was 7 minutes. Craig cut the cord. Placenta came away fine. Apparently i 'made it look easy'. Little Rio looked tiny, they thought he was only about 5lb but nope :) little bit more. Had a little second degree tear and nick on my labia but thats because i couldnt stop my body. And it feels fine now.
Had to stay in overnight as i didnt have time for drip antibiotics.. oopsie again.
Got my natural birth after all :)
Will insert pictures in the next post :)

False starts? i hate you!
Monday, 2 April 2012
Pretty sick of 'false starts' now. Just when i think something might be happening it fizzles out. Can my body really clear itself out even more
Lost my plug this morning... oooh thats SO attractive by the way ;) But im not getting my hopes up anymore.. that can take weeks. Bring on induction, least then i know the pains going to end in me getting my baby.
